Unfortunately, like most things, costs associated with the production of the week have increased significantly over recent years, and again since we were at Nettlecombe Court last year, with a 15% increase in the venue cost. The committee have made changes to historical discounts to try and keep the week affordable for all attendees. As those of you who attended in 2023 will remember, Nettlecombe Court has many amazing positives, but does come with some limitations with regard to the distribution of rooms.

Having developed a good relationship with the operators of the venue, we have been given additional flexibility this year, which may be attractive to some. There is space for a small number of (modestly sized) tents and campervans (no electric hook up), for which the charge to attendees will be the same as those sharing rooms in the venue. Still, in order to make the week work, we require those who feel able to share with family or friends to do so. Great effort will once again to be made to make the arrangements as comfortable as possible.

There are a very limited number of rooms for sole occupancy, and we have sought to increase the number as far as possible, at cost to the week. For those that find that they would be unable to attend if they were not in a single room, there will be an additional £100 single room supplement. There is no additional charge for single occupants of tents or campervans. As the number of single rooms, camping and campervan spaces is limited, a request is not guaranteed until confirmed with your booking.

The deadline for provisional bookings is 10th May 2024 and full settlement is due by 5th July 2024. Needless to say, early booking is encouraged. It may not be possible to accommodate late applications.

Cancellations made before the final booking date are fully refundable. Bookings cancelled after the final booking date will be dependent on the circumstances. Spode Music Week will deduct from any refund any costs already incurred as a result of the booking.

Those aged under 16 must be accompanied by an adult or have an adult participant who can act in loco parentis for the duration of the week.
